Machine Learning Scientist II - InsurTech

We are looking for an outstanding Machine Learning Scientist with a penchant for innovation, love for risk management, and deep knowledge of machine learning theory to join the InsurTech team. In this role, you will be a key member of Machine Learning Science organization in pursuit of revenue optimization and pricing, product personalization, and development of complex models to construct and offer our portfolio of risk-based products. You will be building ML algorithms to tackle high-impact, sophisticated problems using cutting-edge technology and approaches while working in a fun and diverse team!
In this role, you will:
Build end-to-end design of one step models based on detailed understanding of business requirements, including general approach, choice of algorithm and data sources.
Work in close partnership with Product, Data and Technology teams to identify new opportunities and ensure that key projects that are carried out in the team are delivered in a timely fashion.
Develop a deep understanding of our data and ML infrastructure.
Be a technical leader on use, adoption and implementation of personalization and recommendations algorithms.
Minimum Qualifications
MSc or PhD degree in: ML or Computer Science, computer vision, mathematics, or a science field with strong data/ML component; or Equivalent related professional experience.
3+ years hands on experience with ML in production, including building datasets, selecting, and engineering features, building, and optimizing algorithms or equivelent experience.
Proficiency with ML packages an tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Python (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, scipy, Matplotlib), Spark MLlib,
Preferred Qualifications
Real world experience with Internet scale data on Spark, Hadoop or similar platform highly preferred.
Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies.
You will apply data visualization principles consistently resulting in clear and consistent outcomes.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
