This role offers the opportunity to research and develop personalized text, image, and multimodal retrieval and ranking models, while driving improvements and scalable evaluations that impact millions of Apple users and advance the broader AIML community.
- 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning, NLP/CV, and applying these techniques at scale
- Proficiency in software engineering with mainstream programming languages such as Python, Go, or C/C++
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor in Computer Science with relevant industry experience
- * Deep expertise in applying and evaluating deep learning models and large language models (LLMs)
- Extensive experience building production-quality systems in search, recommendation, or personal assistant domains
- Hands-on proficiency with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or XGBoost
- Proven ability to rapidly prototype solutions and perform critical analysis
- Strong background in personalization and data-driven decision making
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
